Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Design Beaver (the "Service"), an AWS architecture diagramming tool operated by Milin Paul ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Beta status
Design Beaver is offered as a beta. That means features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service may be unavailable at times. We provide it as-is while we build.
Accounts
Using the app requires an account, created by signing in with Google or GitHub. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in account secure — we authenticate you through that provider and don't hold a separate password of our own. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms (see "Acceptable use" below). You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time — see the Privacy Policy for how.
Your content & data
Diagrams and other content you create are stored on our servers, tied to your account. You own your content. This is a beta service without guaranteed backups or uptime — we take reasonable care, but we are not liable for content lost due to service outages, bugs, or account issues, so export important work regularly. The free tier currently caps each account at a limited number of saved diagrams; we may change this limit as pricing tiers are introduced.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service or its infrastructure;
- abuse forms or endpoints (e.g. automated or bulk submissions to the waitlist); or
- resell or redistribute the Service as your own.
Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, branding, and content we publish (such as the service reference pages and blog) — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. Diagrams you create remain yours.
Third-party services & information
The Service references AWS services and architectural guidance for informational purposes. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon Web Services, and AWS names and marks belong to their owners. Validation suggestions and cost estimates are guidance, not professional, security, or financial advice — verify against official AWS documentation and your own requirements before relying on them.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its guidance is accurate for your use case.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, diagrams, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Changes
We may update the Service and these terms as it evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
